Welcome Terps!
We provide academic advising to nearly 3,000 students to support them in achieving their educational, personal, and professional goals. Primarily, LTSC prepares students to declare a degree-granting major at UMD.
Welcome Newly Admitted Letters & Sciences Students!
Congratulations on being admitted to the University of Maryland, College Park! We are looking forward to you taking the next steps on your academic journey as a fellow TERP!
Fall 2026 Registration for Returning Students
LTSC Advisor Assignments were completed February 2026. Returning students with an assigned LTSC advisor who still need to register for courses should contact their advisor by either scheduling an appointment via TerpEngage or emailing them.
Returning students who declared LTSC as their major after February will be assigned a LTSC advisor by the end of September, and should use LTSC Drop-in Advising to connect with the advisor on duty to discuss registration.
If you do not know who your assigned advisor is, email us at askltsc@umd.edu.
