Thank you for considering a donation to Letters & Sciences. Gifts to our department will contribute to the Rising Sophomore Award, a need based and merit award.
The Letters and Sciences Rising Sophomore Award is given to full-time students with a GPA of 3.50 or above who are involved in research, service learning, civic engagement, study abroad and/or leadership in co-curricular activities.
Due to limited University resources, we award this scholarship only to those students who have not received other types of University merit awards. If you wish to direct a gift to the Letters and Sciences Rising Sophomore Award fund or other special projects in Letters and Sciences you have the following options:

- You may send a gift check. Please make the check out to "UMCP Foundation" with a memo specifying "Letters and Sciences Rising Sophomore Award". Mail to: Gift Acceptance and Receipting, 4511 Knox Rd., Suite 205 College Park, MD 20740-3380.
- You may make a gift online by visiting Great Expectations: The Campaign for Maryland. After you have filled out the donor information page, you will then make your gift on the next page. In the Search for Fund box on the next page, type Letters and Sciences Rising Sophomore Fund to designate your gift.
We welcome your gift to the Rising Sophomore Scholarship fund and other special projects.
